Jessica K. Stewart, MD

Dr. Jessie Stewart is an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology at UCLA. Dr. Stewart graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. She then went on to receive her MD degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2011, with a concentration in bioengineering. After an internship year at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, she went on to complete her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology (2012-2016) and fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (2016-2017) at Duke University Hospital. Prior to joining UCLA, Dr. Stewart was an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Stewart's clinical interests include women's health interventions, such as uterine artery embolization (UAE) for the treatment of uterine fibroids, as well as venous embolization for the treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome. She also treats patients with vascular malformations and venous disease, including varicose veins.

Dr. Stewart has interests in clinical and translational research in interventional radiology, including the development of innovative new procedures. Dr. Stewart has spoken nationally and internationally on topics related to interventional radiology, and has authored book chapters and over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Stewart has been awarded a number of research grants, including from the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Stewart is active in global health efforts, working with radiologists in Kenya to supplement educational programs since 2014.

Outside of the office, Dr. Stewart enjoys travel, scuba diving, and exploring Los Angeles.
